A lullaby for baby Jesus as He sleeps in a manger, being watched over by Mary and Joseph, angels and shepherds, and His Heavenly Father.
In a manger soft You lie
Underneath the starry sky
Mary sings a lullaby
Angels’ wings are floating by
Joseph keeps a watchful eye
Shepherds kneel and softly sigh
Heaven’s light shines from on high
Heavenly love will never die
Silent star so pure and bright
Glowing through the peaceful night
Holy Child in humble sight
Warmth and grace our guiding light
Blessed Son with eyes so deep
In Your heart the world You keep
While the world below does sleep
Angels’ vigil they do keep
Halos shine in golden streams
Heaven whispers in our dreams
In this moment time redeems
Gentle night so full of beams
Silent star so pure and bright
Glowing through the peaceful night
Holy Child in humble sight
Warmth and grace our guiding light
